Welcome to Montevella Chambres d’Hotes
Montevella is a charming old guest house within a walled garden of 5,000m2, in the coastal town of Guisseny. It was originally built as a presbytery in 1894, but has just undergone nearly three years of careful restoration and modernisation, retaining all the character of the original house, but with the comforts of a newer house.
There are four large luxurious double bedrooms on the first floor ranging in size from 30 to 40m2. All bedrooms have their own private en-suite bathroom facilities, with casual seating area, desk, TV and internet.
The two bedrooms at the rear look out over the back garden and enjoy a partial view of the Bay of Tresseny. The two front south facing bedrooms are slightly larger, and look out over the front garden and towards the village of Guisseny and the church.
On the ground floor there is a large sitting room at the disposal of guests who wish to relax, read or play the piano.
Continental breakfast is served in the dining room in the morning, and guests who may also use the dining room in the evening . A lift is at the disposal of guest who may wish to bring suitcases upstairs.
All the rooms have high ceilings with ornate plasterwork, original panelled doors, and fireplaces.
Outside, in the west walled garden, there is a heated swimming pool, vegetable garden and terrace.
The large rear walled garden has an ornamental pond full of interesting fish and plants, a hexagonal tea house, and a large garden to stroll around. A gate at the bottom of the garden leads to the beach and the Bay of Guisseny, less than 300m away.
